Henri Lucas releases white paper on asset allocation in the post-epidemic era

Recently , Professor Henri Lucas released the landmark “White Paper on Asset Allocation Strategy in the Post-epidemic Era”. This 120-page professional report systematically outlines the “three-speed economy” pattern that may be formed in the post-epidemic world for the first time, and provides institutional investors with a complete investment framework to cope with this new normal.

The most forward-looking contribution of the white paper is the innovative concept of “resilience premium”. By analyzing the financial performance of 800 listed companies around the world during the crisis, Professor Lucas found that the valuation premium of companies with supply chain resilience, digital operation capabilities and cash flow adaptive adjustment mechanisms is undergoing permanent structural changes. Based on this insight, the report recommends reallocating 40% of the investment portfolio to industries with “systemically important resilience”, including emerging fields such as cloud infrastructure, automated logistics and distributed energy.

In the fixed income strategy section, the white paper has subversively adjusted the traditional duration management logic. Professor Lucas pointed out that in the new environment of unprecedented expansion of the central bank’s balance sheet, the defensive strategy of relying solely on government bonds is no longer effective. As an alternative, the report proposes to build an “inflation-sensitive credit portfolio”, select industry corporate bonds with the ability to transfer pricing power, and combine derivatives such as inflation swaps for dynamic hedging. This innovative method was later proven to be effective in resisting the subsequent inflationary pressure.

The report specifically sets up an independent chapter to analyze “investment opportunities under the shadow of deglobalization”. The geopolitical risk matrix developed by Professor Lucas’ team shows that regionalized supply chain reconstruction will give rise to three types of winners: localized solution providers, nearshore manufacturing experts, and digital trade platforms. The white paper has designed a special thematic investment portfolio template for this purpose, which has become an important reference for multinational companies to adjust their regional strategies.
